A Bit About Me

Hi, my name is Konstantinos Psomaras. I am 23 years old and originally from Greece. Four years ago, I made the decision to move to the United States, where I have been living and building my future ever since.

My soccer journey began when I was five years old. My father was a passionate soccer fan, and some of my earliest memories are watching matches with him. One afternoon, he picked me up from school and took me to a local soccer academy, asking me to simply stand beside him and watch a training session. I was instantly drawn in. That same day, I asked him to sign me up. I was so excited that night that I could not sleep. From that moment on, I always had a ball at my feet.

Within two years, coaches at the academy recognized my talent and potential. I played as a striker from the very beginning, a role that never changed. As I grew, I continued to develop, scoring consistently and sharpening my attacking instincts. At the age of 14, I was approached by scouts and offered the opportunity to join Panionios FC in Athens, a club competing in the Greek Super League.

I remained there until I was 17, when I transferred to PAS Giannina. I joined the U18 team and, alongside my playing career, began coaching for the first time through personal and small group sessions. Teaching young players quickly became something I truly cared about. That season, I recorded 20 goals and 10 assists, earning a promotion to the PAS Giannina U19 team.

After moving up, I briefly continued coaching before relocating to fully focus on my development as a player. The following year, I competed in the Greek Division 3 National League, gaining experience at the men’s level while continuing to train a small group of youth players in personal/group sessions. My focus was always on helping them build confidence, technique, and belief in themselves.

In September 2022, I traveled to the United States, where I met my wife and began a new chapter of my life in New York while continuing my education. Although my professional career in Greece came to an end, my passion for the game did not. Today, I live in New York, where I play college soccer and work as a personal/group soccer trainer, helping young athletes grow not only as players, but as people.

Soccer has shaped who I am. It has taught me discipline, resilience, and empathy, and those values guide everything I do on and off the field.
